Now that it is officially after Thanksgiving,  I think it’s about time to share one of my family’s Christmas staples.  My kitchen counter top would feel naked without a jar of these things as a constant fixture.  They seem really fancy because they include egg whites, but seriously these are super easy to make, and they smell like the holidays aka delicious<\/del>.  I usually use pecans, but I don’t see why you couldn’t use another kind of nut that you prefer.  You get all of that cooked sugar and egg white that makes this caramelized sweet crunch, they are just irresistible… trust me,  you will not be able to stop at just one handful of these.  I have given these in baggies as gifts for years and people always ask for this recipe.  These are super good, make them, everyone you give these to will be your friend \ud83d\ude42<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/a>Get your egg whites…<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Whip your egg whites until they form stiff peaks…<\/p>\n

<\/a>Add sugar to your whipped egg whites…<\/p>\n

<\/a>Whip your sugar and egg whites until they have a glossy look to them…<\/p>\n

<\/a>Add your pecans…<\/p>\n

<\/a>Fold your pecans into the sugar\/egg white mixture…<\/p>\n

<\/a>Make sure they are completely covered…<\/p>\n

<\/a>Spread them out in your pan…<\/p>\n

<\/a>And bake them up until golden brown and delicious…<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/div>\t\t\t

1. 1 Stick of Butter.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
2. 2 Egg Whites.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
3. 1 Cup of Sugar.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
4. 3-4 Cups of Raw Pecans.<\/li>\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t<\/div>\t\t
   \t\t\t

   Instructions<\/div>\t\t\t

   \t\t\t\t
   1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
   2. Melt 1 stick of butter in a 9x13 pan in the oven.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
   3. Beat 2 egg whites until stiff.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
   4. Add 1 cup of sugar into the whites and continue to beat more.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
   5. Now fold your pecans into the whites\/sugar mixture and spread into your pan.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
   6. Bake your pecans for 30-40 minutes, stirring after the first 10 minutes, then continue to stir every 5 minutes until done.<\/li>\t\t\t\t
   7. While your pecans are cooling continue to stir to keep them from sticking together.<\/li>\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t<\/div>\t\t
