Happy Cocktail Friday everybody!! Sometimes a super cold, light and refreshing cocktail is exactly what the doctor yeah right ordered hehe. I know, I know, it’s cold in and around most of the western world but honestly I was so needing a cocktail and something heavy sounded just terrible.
I wanted refreshing, and to me Arnold Palmers are nothing if not refreshing and a little Brandy never hurt anything so woohoo there’s my drink! I think delightful is the perfect adjective for this cocktail, because you don’t really taste the liquor, not too sweet, not at all too bitter or tasteless, just perfect.
Also, I totally cheated and bought already made un-sweet tea and lemonade, but please forgive me, sometimes I just want to get to my drink and I don’t want to take the time to make everything,
I’m human, hey but I did zest my own lemon, go me. Anyways, have a wonderful, wonderful Friday and weekend.
lemonade…
unsweetened iced tea…
and Brandy…
for a tasty and beautiful rim, start by zesting your lemon…
then add some sugar and mix together…
and enjoy!!!

- 1 Cup of Unsweetened Iced Tea.
- 1 1/4 Cup of Lemonade, Chilled.
- 1/3 Cup of Brandy.
- 1 Lemon, The Zest.
- 1/4 Cup of Granulated Sugar.
- Ice Cubes.
- Mix the lemonade, iced tea and Brandy together, set aside.
- Zest your lemon onto a plate and then add the sugar mixing together with a fork.
- Now place honey around the rim of your glasses and dip your glasses into the lemon zest and sugar mixture until completely covered.
- Now place 2-3 ice cubes into your glasses, pour your drinks and serve.

The fact that any of this delicious stuff lasted long enough to make it into any pictures is a miracle because holy cow this stuff is amazing. If you don’t like peanut butter (we might still be able to be friends, maybe) just leave out
and maybe just throw in some mini chocolate chips for some regular ole’ chocolate chip cookie dough, it will still be awesome, I promise. Honestly, you can be as creative as you want to be, any candy, or sprinkles that you happen to love will be perfect, let me know what you come up with!
Have this awesome and not to mention easy peasy week night treat tonight, and I’ll just sit here and drool at the photos hehe. Have a wonderful day y’all!
mix, mix, mix and so ready to be noshed…
and enjoy!!!

I had heard about all the wonders of bone broth for months now, from helping heartburn, indigestion and just in general doing amazing things for your immune system I definitely thought it was time to make. I went to a local butcher in my area and got some beef knuckle bones with the marrow, and honestly I really wanted beef leg bones with marrow but they were out but remember you can use any kind you like but definitely try to use bones with the marrow-thats the key. I ended up cooking my bone broth in my Crockpot for 48 hours, but it tasted the best to me at 24 hours because it wasn’t as thick, but remember the longer you cook, the fattier and healthier it becomes for you. I don’t know if this stuff is a miracle worker, but so far I haven’t caught anything yet so we will see. Y’all have an awesome day and stay well!
throw in some carrots and celery, you can use as little or as many as you like…
now some onions…
place your Crockpot on high for a couple of hours, then set on simmer and let sit for at least another 10 hours…
and enjoy!!!

I would like to preface what I’m about to say by saying that though I have cocktail Fridays on my blog, I actually do drink quite sparingly, aka I’m a lightweight, my body does not deal with alcohol well, and it only happens on some cheat days, but I could drink this Love Punch until I was snockered drunk.
Yes, it is just that tasty, and being honest, tasty doesn’t do this drink justice. Champagne tends to be way too dry for me, but in this drink all you taste is the bubbly awesomeness of it, and the cinnamon/sugar reduction gives this drink this incredible cinnamon-ey undertone, and the fruit juices give the perfect amount of sweetness.
Also, due to the whole computer debacle from last week, my original recipe was lost, so I did my absolute best in remembering how I did this recipe, I know, no one is perfect, but I think I got it pretty close. Anyway, have a wonderful, amazing weekend y’all and make this as soon as possible, and don’t be afraid to experiment with this recipe 🙂
nice and boiling…
the sugar reduction isn’t pretty, but definitely tasty…
now add your cranberry juice…
add your pineapple juice…
and then the champagne…
and enjoy!!!

I’ve seen vanilla made with Vodka before (not so sure about the taste on that one) but don’t think I’ve seen it made with Brandy (if you make it this way, sorry haha and let me know), but anyways, why buy vanilla extract when you can make your own for way less and about a gazillion times more delicious? Exactly! there’s no reason you shouldn’t, but obviously this is a recipe that has to sit for a hot second, so don’t think you can make some in a day haha.
Right now, I have 2 bottles of this stuff in my pantry-the new one I just made for the blog and to replenish from giving so much away for Christmas and another one from summer, it smells incredible btw.
So yeah, I keep a little bottle of already made vanilla next to the stove, and keep the bottles of it (yes, keep the vanilla beans in) in the pantry. Happy Hump Day y’all, and let me know if you make yourself some homemade vanilla 🙂
slice each of your vanilla beans down the middle (don’t scrape the insides out)…
all of your vanilla beans sliced down the middle…
now place all of them into your bottle…
after all of them are placed in your bottle, place the top on and shake, shake the bottle and you’re done! (well, in 8 weeks it will be ready)…
and enjoy!!

There was no fixing to be done that night which meant buying a brand spanking new one that evening. My external hard drive had to be left with the store in hopes to get anything (especially all of my food pics) off of my computer since I had not done any backups in over a month
Anyways, I got almost everything I wanted off of my hard drive and onto my new Macbook Pro (which still doesn’t have a name yet) with the help of my dad (thanks dad!!) then I proceeded (with the help of my very large and overzealous dog) to drop my iPhone face first onto the tile floor and smashed the cover into a bajillion glass pieces
Soo, yeah it’s been that kind of week, and as someone who is usually happy and positive I’ve been feeling slightly grouchy. Sooo, I figured one of my favorite cheat restaurant dishes would fix the grouch, and it totally did. The smell of the bread toasting, the fresh basil, mozzarella and tomatoes, oh my, I’m in love, this stuff is awesome and sooo easy to make. Y’all have an awesome day and week, and I hope to do the same haha.
peeled, and finely minced…
roll your basil up…
slice it up…
nice and chopped…
into your bowl…
slice your tomatoes…
scoop all the goop out…
then chop it up more…
chop all of your tomatoes up and throw into the bowl…
chop up your mozzarella…
and throw into your bowl along with balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper…
all mixed together…
prepare your bread to be toasted…
and enjoy!!!…

Heck no y’all, this is seriously easy, and always adds that extra bit of awesome on everything. Many times when I haven’t felt like making a whole shebang of icing but want a little something extra on top of a dessert, I’ll just whip up some heavy whipping cream for a topper and it’s just as good (or better sometimes).
I hope y’all have survived your first full week back from the holidays and have a wonderful Friday and weekend!
whip the heck out of it, and voila!
and enjoy y’all!!!

I am gonna be real with y’all, if you don’t want to find yourself standing
So, for those of you who have some New Year’s resolutions you’re wanting to stick to 100% then don’t even tempt yourself with this stuff in your house, like for reals, don’t, because one bite of these soft, buttery, cheesy, garlicky bread bites will send you to food heaven and there is no turning back. I think even a whiff of this awesomeness baking in your oven will send you over the edge.
You’re welcome to be all fancy and make your own homemade bread dough, but seriously, there are so many fresh doughs pre-made I don’t see the point. I personally love Publix’s pizza dough they have in the bakery section in a small fridge there, but if you don’t have Publixs in your area then no biggie. Anyways, if you want something perfectly savory tonight, by all means make these awesome skillet bread bites. Have a great day y’all!!
cut up your dough…
butter into your pan…
once butter is melted, add your garlic, seasoning & cheese…
nice and melted…
now add your dough…
cover your dough in all the butter/parm/garlic/seasoning…
bake in the oven for a bit…
and enjoy!!!

Y’all I’m not even a little bit exaggerating when I say this is so incredibly delicious you won’t be able to stop eating it, like for reals you’ll stop when it’s all gone.
Oh and did I mention easy? Oh yes, this is ding dang easy to throw together, seriously this will be perfect for Super Bowl Sunday whether you’re having a party (which you’ll need to double or triple this recipe) or just chilling at home and want something completely delectable to enjoy.
Y’all have an awesome first (normal) week back and an awesome Monday and make this is soon as possible 🙂 !!!
cream cheese smooth, now add spices and 3/4 cup of your cheeses…
all mixed and now add the artichokes & 1 slice of crumbled bacon…
all mixed again and ready to go into your dish…
into your dish…
bake for a bit, then take out and place the rest of the cheese and bacon on top…
bake a bit more and enjoy!!!

I must disclose that this is a very strong drink y’all, but it is very, very tasty, and the milk makes it so smooth and creamy. What are y’all’s New Year’s resolutions?
My resolution this year is to get more organized, and clean out a ton of stuff that I don’t need and/or want anymore, which I’ve already gotten a head start on and I’m so thrilled.
I knew getting organized would de-stress me but I totally didn’t know how much, soo if y’all are looking for a resolution I recommend mine haha 🙂 Anyways, have a wonderful day and a Happy New Year’s Day!!!
Créme de Cacao…
Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur…
Now, the milk…
and enjoy!!!
