Happy Happy Tuesday everybody!!! Y’all, and it is soo happy. I recently switched back to full on physical production work (film/TV stuff) and I’m beyond thrilled. For the last 2 years I was working in a very off production job, and honestly I had been wanting out for quite some time.
It had started to affect me in ways I didn’t even realize were spilling over into my personal life and my emotional well being (y’all feel me?). So due to nothing short of Divine intervention, I’m doing the exact job in the exact department I’ve wanted to be in for forever. I have no joke been bounding out of bed (in the very early AM I might add) in the morning because I am actually looking forward to going to work again. The other job had me dreading every single day like whoa, and y’all life is too short and precious to feel like that 😀 I just wanted to express my gratitude out loud because I feel like it’s practically coming out of my eyeballs haha.
This is basically the ultimate Christmas present that couldn’t be bought, I’m just sooo thankful to God, for reals. Anyways, onto the other kind of sweet stuff, this delicious brown sugar and spice Chex Mix. I got this recipe straight off of Chex Mix’s recipe site, and what a great find y’all. This is the easiest Chex Mix I’ve ever made and the perfect mixture of sweet, salty and it’s just so full of flavors from the spices. I totally recommend making this to have on hand for the holidays. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!
Cereal into your bowl…
then your nuts…
then sugars, water and spices into your cup with the melted butter…
mix that up and get it boiling in the microwave, then pour over your nut/chex mix…
mix together and back into the microwave…
then add your yogurt covered cranberries (if you want to)…
mix together and pour onto your tray to let cool…
and enjoy!!!
- 6 Cups of Vanilla Chex Cereal.
- 1/2 Cup of Lightly Salted Roasted Almonds.
- 1/2 Cup of Lightly Salted Roasted Cashew Halves.
- 2 Tablespoons of Unsalted Butter.
- 1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar, Packed.
- 2 Tablespoons of Granulated Sugar.
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons of Water.
- 2 Teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon.
- 1 Teaspoon of Ground Ginger.
- 1/2 Cup of Yogurt Covered Cranberries (Optional).
- In a large microwave safe bowl, place your Chex cereal and nuts, set aside.
- Place some wax or parchment paper onto a large cookie tray, set aside.
- Now, in a large (at least 2 cup sized) microwave safe measuring cup, melt your butter in it.
- Now stir in your brown sugar, granulated sugar, water and spices into the butter.
- Microwave the butter/brown sugar mixture until just starting to boil, then pour this mixture over your cereal/nut mixture and mix until evenly coated.
- Now place this mixture back into the microwave and cook uncovered on high for 2-3 minutes, taking out and stirring every minute.
- Once finished, stir in your cranberries and spread out evenly onto your cookie sheet to cool.
- I think some mini M&M's would be awesome to substitute for the cranberries if that's not your thing.

I genuinely don’t mean to put it off, it’s more that I just lose track of time. You know, you’re getting ready for Thanksgiving and planning your travel, then boom, you look up and you realize that you should already be done shopping and you’re left standing there going ‘what the heck?’
Please excuse my ramble, I’m slightly over caffeinated and lacking in sleep haha. Anyways, moving on…not gonna lie, I am loving all of these Christmas recipes because I get to sit around and think them all up, AKA drool over all of them hehe.
Gosh, I wish I had thought up this cocktail, because it is so dang cute, clever and obviously waaay delicious, and I saw several different versions of it, so I just tweaked it to my liking and it’s awesome. I don’t know about y’all but I love a good cold winter time cocktail, I don’t know why exactly, but sometimes it’s just a really nice change from all of the warm, cinnamon-esque drinks (which I still love, but you know). Anyways, I hope you get to enjoy this wonderful cocktail soon and thank you so much for stopping by!!!
lime sherbet into each glass…
then sprite…
then vanilla vodka…
and enjoy!!!

Honestly, since I figured I would be inundating y’all with all things Christmas related I would give you a heads up, you know, in case you dislike stuff like gingerbread, chocolate and pumpkin (pumpkin is totally not just a Fall thing). I have to ask, does anybody else non-stop watch Hallmark channel Christmas movies as soon as November hits too?
I know, they’re cheesy and pretty predictable but y’all it’s just not the most wonderful time of the year without them 🙂 Anyways, let’s get started with the food shall we? I thought I would ring in the first Blogmas post with a way simple dessert dip to ease everyone into all things decadent, wonderful and Christmas-ey.
This gingerbread dip is perfection y’all. Super creamy, perfect to dip with graham crackers and soooo much gingerbread flavor. I dare you to stop eating this dip before it’s completely gone, so basically you need to make this stuff ASAP haha. I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far and thank you so much for stopping by!
whip, whip, whip…
brown sugar, powdered sugar & molasses…
mix, mix, mix…
then your spices…
mix, mix, mix, then the cool whip…
mix, mix, mix…
and enjoy!

I woke up Tuesday morning totally psyched it was already Thursday–womp, womp, womp, isn’t that such a bummer when that happens? haha oh well… anyways, to the good stuff and the reason you’re here. Apple Cider is one of those things that I literally never think about any time of the year except when Fall finally makes its appearance, and then I want it all the time.
Obviously, once it’s available I want to make every cocktail (ok, not every cocktail) with it, but y’all know what I’m saying. Hence, these mimosas, and you guys, these mimosas, omg they are so wonderful. Perfectly sweet (but not too sweet) because of the apple cider, and bubbly with a hint of tartness from the champagne.
Oh, and I totally added a cinnamon/sugar rim around the glasses which was basically the cherry on top. I really hope you get to enjoy this soon and thank you so much for stopping by!!! Have a wonderful weekend!
Fill the rest of the glass(es) with champagne (which I forgot to take a pic of) and enjoy!!!

Shortbread was always around the house as a kid come this time of year, and the closer we got to Christmas my mom would let my sisters and I cut out fun shapes and put lots and lots of sprinkles on them 🙂 Honestly the smell of shortbread baking in the kitchen always brings up the best memories.
Y’all this recipe couldn’t be much simpler; flour, sugar, butter and that’s it (obviously sprinkles too if you want). My recipe came from the tried and true Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook –really, a must have in every Southern kitchen–but I tweaked it just a smidge by adding an additional tablespoon of powdered sugar to the recipe, and they turned out just perfectly.
I’m usually a bit nervous about baking up any dough that I have to cut the butter into, shape myself, or roll out but seriously this turned out perfect. These cookies are so simple and buttery, really a must make for this time of year. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!
mix, mix, mix and then butter…
mix, mix, mix (at this point I used my hands to squish it together)…
roll into a ball and place onto your floured surface…
press it down into a circular shape 1/2 inch thick…
cut into pieces…
bake, bake, bake…
and enjoy!!!

I’m a slightly type A chick, so not being completely organized and ahead of schedule makes me feel just a tad bit coo-coo feeling. My apologies, I’m blathering about how stressed I feel when most likely all of you feel precisely the same way haha. Soooo, I’m here today to give you another recipe that shouldn’t cause you any stress to make, because at this hour before Thanksgiving that is exactly what we need, amiright?
These Easy Pumpkin Pie Bars are a wonderful recipe that I snagged from Pillsbury’s website. I looove pumpkin pie, but as I have mentioned before, pies have a tendency to be my Kryptonite, because of that whole pie crusts never behave for me deal, which is why I knew I had to make these bars because they just looked so easy to make. BTW they totally are easy to make, and let’s not forget it’s pumpkin pie in perfect handheld wonderfulness.
The only thing that’s really time consuming is waiting for these bars to completely cool before you can cut them up. Anyways, I hope you can add these to your Thanksgiving meal and as always thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone of you and I hope you have a wonderful time with your loved ones.
then press your crescent dough sheet into your pan…
place all of your ingredients into your bowl…
mix, mix, mix…
then pumpkin mixture into your pan…
bake, bake, bake…
after cooling, take out of the pan…
and enjoy!!!

This cobbler is not fancy by any means (is any cobbler really?), but what it lacks in sophistication it makes up for tenfold in it’s deliciousness. This cobbler has snickerdoodle cookie dough and apple pie filling baked together perfectly, topped off with caramel sauce.
Now, if you’re feeling extra naughty, a big giant scoopful of ice cream would be amazing on top of this cobbler while it’s still nice and warm, mmmmmm. Just wait and see how long you can wait after this guy comes out of the oven to go to nosh town, because the smells wafting in your kitchen while this cobbler bakes up are just heavenly.
I believe your family and friends will be thrilled if you decide to add this to your Thanksgiving Day meal, I know I will. Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you get to enjoy this dessert soon!
mix, mix, mix (a furry someone really wants some)…
place half in spoonfuls into your pan…
some of the cinnamon/sugar mixture on top of the cookie dough…
then the apple pie filling on top of that…
then the rest of the cookie dough…
then more cinnamon/sugar mixture on top of the cookie dough…
then the caramel topping…
bake, bake, bake…
and enjoy!!!

First I want to tell y’all that the wonderful folks over at
Definitely check them out and see if they currently deliver in your city (they’re adding new ones all the time), because seriously this time of year everyone’s to do lists are ever increasing and a last minute run to the store for your party is inconvenient to say the least, and hello!
So back to this amazing drink…y’all, the butter/brown sugar/spice mixture melts into the hot cider so wonderfully and decadently it’s basically dessert, and let’s not forget our friend Jack Daniels that makes this drink extra special. I soo hope y’all get to make this for Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving), heck really any reason because this is too good to miss. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!!!
mix, mix, mix…
put some of the batter into each cup…
hot cider & whisky…
and enjoy!!!

I swear, I follow directions as precisely as possible and yet most get thrown out and I just start over with a store bought one (which I’ve managed to mess up too btw). Anyways, I’ve been eyeing crockpot bread recipes that have either been sent to me or just continue to pop up in my feed on Pinterest or Facebook for a hot second.
I decided to put my fear of homemade bread aside and make yet another attempt at one in the crockpot, because y’all it doesn’t get much easier than a crockpot. In keeping with the super honesty policy that is my life, I was really, really hoping that I would just throw all of the ingredients into the crockpot and voila it would be done…not so much y’all, but it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be either.
I was pretty happy overall with how this turned out, but I will definitely say that the next time, I will use a lot less whole wheat flour and more all purpose, because the whole wheat made this a lot denser than I thought it would be, and I also suggest broiling the top of the bread for that wonderful crunch on top which I forgot to do. This still turned out to be a very fragrant bread that would be really lovely to dip in my

now into your bowl…
cover with a towel and let rise for an hour ( I know, it’s really pretty haha)…

then into your crockpot, and more rosemary & salt put on top…

and enjoy!!!
